The EFB Elektronik OFF-1868TS.V1RW is an 18U freestanding rack engineered for compact and organized equipment installation. With external dimensions of 600 mm width, 800 mm depth and 871 mm height, this black rack provides a professional appearance while occupying minimal floor space. The unit supports a load of up to 45 kg and has an IP20 rating that offers protection against solid objects, making it suitable for indoor network, server and AV installations that do not require dust- or water-tight enclosures.

Advantages

This freestanding rack combines a compact footprint with standard 18U rack capacity and functional depth, enabling tidy mounting of routers, switches, patch panels and small servers. The IP20 protection level helps prevent ingress of larger solid objects while leaving ventilation unobstructed. Its black finish integrates discreetly into office and data-room environments. The stated maximum load of 45 kg is appropriate for light to moderate equipment loads, and the rack’s standard dimensions facilitate compatibility with common rack-mount accessories.

Suitable for

• Small office or home network cabinets for switches, patch panels and UPS units
• Telecommunications and network closets with limited floor space
• AV racks for media players, small amplifiers and distribution hardware
• Temporary or test lab installations where a compact, portable rack is needed

How to use

Place the rack on a level, stable surface and ensure adequate clearance for ventilation at the rear and sides. Install 19-inch compatible equipment using standard rack-mount brackets, screws and cage nuts where required. Distribute weight evenly across the rack and avoid exceeding the 45 kg maximum load. Route power and network cabling through the rack openings to maintain neat cable management and to prevent airflow obstruction. If mounting heavier or heat-producing devices, monitor temperature and provide additional ventilation or spacing between units.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the rack indoors in a controlled environment, avoid exposure to moisture, and secure heavier equipment at lower racks to maintain stability. Regularly inspect mounting hardware and cable routing to ensure safe and organized installation.
