TRENDnet TEG-S591 neupravovateľný 8-portový 2,5G Ethernet switch, 100/1000/2500, 60 Gbit/s, MAC tabuľka 4000, montovateľný na stenu

The TRENDnet TEG-S591 is an unmanaged multi-gigabit Ethernet switch that expands network bandwidth with eight 2.5G RJ-45 ports and one dedicated 10G RJ-45 port. It supports 100/1000/2500 Mbps on the 2.5G ports, full-duplex operation, a 4,000-entry MAC address table and a 60 Gbit/s switching capacity. The compact fanless metal housing is wall-mountable and designed for quieter, energy-efficient operation in small offices, home networks, or SMB uplink aggregation where higher-than-Gigabit throughput is required.

Advantages

This unmanaged switch provides multi-gig connectivity over existing Cat5e or better cabling using 2.5G RJ-45 ports, while the dedicated 10G RJ-45 port enables an ultra-fast link for servers or uplinks. The fanless design reduces power consumption and eliminates operating noise. Compliance with relevant IEEE standards ensures compatibility with common Ethernet devices, and the compact, wall-mountable form factor simplifies installation in constrained spaces.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Small office networks requiring increased throughput beyond 1 Gbps
• Home networks with multi-gig capable devices (NAS, workstations, gaming)
• SMB uplink aggregation to a 10G backbone or server
• Noise-sensitive environments needing fanless operation

Key specifications

• Ports: 8 × 2.5G RJ-45 ports (100/1000/2500 Mbps), 1 × 10G RJ-45 port
• Switching capacity: 60 Gbit/s
• MAC address table size: 4,000 entries
• Switch type: Unmanaged
• Networking standards: IEEE 802.3u/ab/an/bz/x compliant
• Design: Fanless, wall-mountable metal enclosure
• Power: AC powered

How to use

Mount the unit on a wall or place it on a flat surface in a well-ventilated area. Connect devices using Cat5e or better Ethernet cables to the 2.5G RJ-45 ports for upgraded multi-gig speeds; connect a server or uplink to the 10G RJ-45 port for maximum throughput. Plug in the AC power and the switch will operate immediately in unmanaged mode—no configuration is required. Use standard network diagnostics and link indicators to verify connections and speed negotiation.

Recommendations

For best multi-gig performance, use Cat5e or higher cabling and ensure connected devices support 2.5G/10G speeds. Place the fanless switch in a dust-free environment with adequate airflow and avoid covering the unit to maintain passive cooling. When integrating into an existing network, connect the 10G port to the highest-capacity uplink or aggregation point to maximize throughput.
