AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J5M 10G 5 m aktívny optický kábel

The AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J5M 10G 5m Active Optical Cable delivers a 10 Gigabit direct connection between SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage devices. The 5 m pre-terminated optical assembly replaces traditional twinax copper and is designed for short-reach links in data centers and rack-to-rack environments. The cable reduces electromagnetic interference and simplifies installation by providing a ready-to-plug SFP+ solution without separate transceivers or complex termination.

Advantages

This Active Optical Cable provides low-latency 10G transmission over an optical medium, offering greater reach than copper twinax at comparable power and size. The pre-terminated design removes the need for field termination and lowers installation time and error risk. By using optical fiber, the cable reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and enables denser cabling arrangements in crowded rack environments. The integrated SFP+ connectors maintain compatibility with standard SFP+ ports for a plug-and-play connection.

Suitable for

• Short-reach interconnects between rack-mounted switches and servers
• Data center top-of-rack and leaf-spine links
• High-speed storage network connections and SAN uplinks
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and compact cabling

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ connectors on both ends for direct port-to-port connection
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second
• Length: 5 meters
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with pre-terminated fiber assembly
• Reach: short-reach links optimized for rack-to-rack and within-data-center distances
• Compatibility: designed for SFP+ ports in switches, servers and storage systems

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the target SFP+ ports on your network equipment until the latch clicks into place. Ensure both devices are powered and configured to use 10G links; the cable typically operates as a transparent physical layer connection and requires no additional configuration. For removal, depress the latch and pull the connector straight out to avoid stressing the cable or port. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer.

Recommendations

Use the 5 m AOC for short-distance, high-bandwidth links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force during installation. Verify SFP+ port compatibility and firmware requirements on vendor equipment where applicable to ensure full link stability.
