AOC kábel BlueOptics AOC-Q-Q-40G-50M-BO 50 m QSFP konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics AOC-Q-Q-40G-50M-BO is a 50-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP male connectors at both ends, engineered for high-speed short-reach interconnects in data centres and network equipment racks. This cable provides a factory-terminated, plug-and-play alternative to discrete transceivers and fibre patch panels, combining lightweight construction with electrical-to-optical conversion for low-latency, high-throughput links between compatible QSFP ports.

Advantages

This AOC offers support for multi-lane 40 Gbit/s links using integrated optics, eliminating the need for separate transceiver modules and fibre patching. The fixed-length 50 m assembly reduces installation complexity and improves signal integrity by avoiding additional connectors. Its QSFP-to-QSFP male/male connectors ensure straightforward direct-attach connectivity and maintain consistency in channel performance over short distances typical for inter-rack or intra-rack deployments.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches, routers and servers with QSFP ports
• High-throughput links in data centre racks and server rooms
• Short-reach optical connections where reduced latency and simplified cabling are required

Key specifications

• Optical technology: Active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Connector type: QSFP male to QSFP male
• Nominal data rate: 40 Gbit/s multi-lane operation
• Cable length: 50 metres
• Design: Factory-terminated plug-and-play assembly for direct attach

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on your network devices, ensuring alignment and that retention latches engage. No additional transceivers, patch cords, or optical splicing are required. Verify that connected equipment supports 40 Gbit/s QSFP AOC links and configure interface settings on switches or servers as needed. For best results, route the cable with gentle bends within the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and avoid sharp kinks or compressive loads that could stress the fiber pairs.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable by coiling loosely; avoid tight loops and mechanical strain. Use this 50 m QSFP AOC in short-reach data centre environments where direct-attach, low-latency 40 Gbit/s links are required, and confirm compatibility with device QSFP port specifications and firmware for reliable operation.
