BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-3M-EN-BO InfiniBand/optický kábel 3 m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-3M-EN-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 3m Male/Male is a 3‑meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 to SFP28 male connectors, designed for 25Gb/s class high‑speed links over multimode fiber. Compliant with SFP28 MSA physical form factor, this cable integrates optical transmitter and receiver modules in each connector to convert electrical signals to optical and back, enabling low‑latency, high‑bandwidth connections between switches, routers, storage systems and network interface cards in data centers and high‑performance computing environments.

Advantages

The cable provides a fixed‑length optical link that reduces electromagnetic interference and eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patchcords, which simplifies rack cabling and equipment setup. With a 3‑meter reach it supports short‑range links inside racks or between adjacent racks while maintaining 25G signaling compatibility. The integrated AOC design offers consistent optical performance, low power consumption at the link endpoints, and a compact SFP28 connector footprint suitable for high‑density network ports.

Suitable for

• 25G data center uplinks and switch-to-switch connections
• High‑performance computing and InfiniBand-style low-latency links
• Connections between servers, storage arrays and network interface cards
• Short-range multimode fiber runs inside racks or between adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) over multimode fiber
• Nominal length: 3 meters
• Data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s per channel (25G signaling class)
• Application protocols: Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet compatible
• Form factor: SFP28 MSA compatible

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into an SFP28 port on the respective devices until the latch engages, ensuring the cable is routed without sharp bends and kept away from heat sources. The link should be detected automatically by networking equipment that supports SFP28 AOC modules; verify link status and speed via device management interfaces. For best results, power down or disable ports only when required by your maintenance procedures and follow equipment vendor guidance for hot‑swap and compatibility.

Recommendations

Use this 3m AOC for short-range, high-speed links where a compact, low‑EMI optical connection is required. Confirm device compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules and maintain gentle cable bend radii to preserve optical performance.
