AOC kábel BlueOptics AOC-SFP-10G-25M-BO 25 m SFP+ konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics AOC-SFP-10G-25M-BO is a 25 metre Active Optical Cable with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. This factory-terminated cable uses optical fiber and integrated transceivers to deliver high data throughput with low latency and reduced electrical interference compared with copper alternatives. Its flexible construction and fixed-length design simplify connections between switches, servers and storage equipment in racks and data centre topologies.

Advantages

This Active Optical Cable offers native SFP+ connectivity for direct device-to-device links without separate transceivers, resulting in straightforward installation and predictable performance. The optical medium provides immunity to electromagnetic interference and supports stable 10 Gbit/s transmission over the full 25 m length. Low weight and flexibility help with cable management in dense rack environments, while the integrated optics remove the need for additional heat and power considerations associated with short-reach copper solutions.

Suitable for

• High-density data centre top-of-rack and end-of-row switch interconnects
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch 10 Gigabit links within the same equipment room
• Storage area network (SAN) connections and aggregation links

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male on both ends
• Type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Nominal length: 25 metres
• Data rate: 10 Gbit/s (compatible with 10 Gigabit Ethernet)
• Medium: optical fiber with integrated transceivers
• Typical use: short-reach interconnects inside racks and between adjacent racks

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices until the latch engages. Ensure both connected devices support SFP+ AOC modules and have matching link settings for 10 Gbit/s. Route the cable through rack cable management to avoid sharp bends and to maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for optical cables. No separate power sourcing or transceiver modules are required because the optical transceivers are integrated into the cable ends.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid excessive bending and tension; follow manufacturer guidelines for minimum bend radius and pull force. Verify device compatibility with SFP+ AOC cables and configure interfaces for the intended speed. Use cable management panels to organise multiple AOC runs and keep optical connectors free of dust by capping unused ports when possible.
