BlueOptics AC-SFP+-VKMM-25M-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 25 m SFP+ konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics AC-SFP+-VKMM-25M-BO InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable 25m SFP+ Male/Male is a 25-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors at both ends designed for high-speed short-range connections. It uses multimode fibre with integrated transmitter and receiver modules in each SFP+ plug, supporting 10G data rates and interoperability with equipment that accepts SFP+ MSA-compliant AOC modules.

Advantages

This cable delivers low-latency, high-bandwidth links over a 25 m distance while eliminating separate transceivers and patch cords. The integrated AOC design reduces electromagnetic interference and cable weight compared with copper alternatives, and the SFP+ male-to-male ends ensure direct plug-and-play connection to SFP+ ports that support AOC modules. The multimode optical construction is suitable for dense cabling environments where consistent 10G performance is required.

Suitable for

• Short-range 10G links between switches and routers in data centres
• Interconnection of storage systems and servers supporting SFP+ ports
• High-throughput InfiniBand or Ethernet connections in rack-to-rack cabling

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with multimode fibre
• Connector type: SFP+ male on both ends
• Nominal length: 25 metres
• Rated data rate: up to 10 Gbit/s
• Transmission medium: optical multimode for short-range applications
• Form factor compatibility: SFP+ MSA-compliant modules

How to use

Ensure both network devices have SFP+ receptacles that support active optical cables. Insert each SFP+ end of the BlueOptics AOC into the corresponding port until it clicks into place. Verify link status on both devices and confirm negotiated speed of 10 Gbit/s where applicable. For removal, unlock the SFP+ module per the host equipment procedure and gently pull the cable straight out to avoid stressing the fibre enclosure.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges; maintain manufacturer's minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Use in environments where equipment explicitly supports SFP+ AOC modules and verify compatibility with the host hardware if vendor-specific locking or firmware checks are present.
