Aktívny optický kábel CBO SFP-AOC-10G-2M 10G SFP+ AOC, 2 m

The Active Optical Cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-2M 10G SFP+ AOC, 2 m is a 2‑meter SFP+ active optical cable designed for short-range 10 Gbps links between network devices. It integrates SFP+ connectors with an optical fiber link in a single plug-and-play assembly, allowing direct connection between SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage equipment without separate transceivers or fiber patch cords. The cable is intended to provide reliable high-speed data transmission with low power consumption and a compact footprint for dense rack environments.

Advantages

The integrated design reduces the number of components required for short interconnects, simplifying installation and lowering inventory complexity. As an active optical cable, it offers lower power usage compared with some discrete transceiver and patch-cord combinations and provides stable 10 Gbps performance over the specified two‑metre distance. Plug-and-play compatibility with standard SFP+ ports enables quick deployment and minimal configuration in data centre and enterprise networking scenarios.

Suitable for

• Direct 10 Gbps connections between SFP+ ports on switches
• Server-to-switch and server-to-storage interconnects within racks
• High-density rack deployments where cable diameter and connector footprint matter
• Short-reach optical links in data centres and enterprise environments

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ optical modules integrated into cable ends
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Length: 2 metres
• Medium: active optical fibre
• Power consumption: low (active cable electronics)
• Compatibility: standard SFP+ ports supporting AOC

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on the devices you wish to link. Ensure that both devices support direct-attach active optical cables and that ports are powered off or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the equipment manufacturer if inserting live. The connection is plug-and-play; once seated, the link should negotiate at 10 Gbps according to device capabilities. Do not bend the cable sharply or apply excessive force to the connectors during insertion and removal.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-reach connections within racks or across adjacent racks, keep bend radius within manufacturer limits, and avoid routing near sources of mechanical stress or high heat. Verify firmware and compatibility notes for your switch or server vendor if vendor-specific link behavior is a concern.
