AOC aktívny optický kábel CBO AOC-S-S-25G-50M-BO SFP28 25 Gbit/s 50 m

AOC active optical cable CBO AOC-S-S-25G-50M-BO SFP28 25Gbps 50m is a factory-terminated duplex fiber link compatible with SFP28 ports. Designed for short- to medium-reach interconnects, this 50-meter cable delivers a 25Gbps full-duplex data rate with low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference. The optical construction reduces weight and bulk compared with copper assemblies and is suited for high-density rack and data center environments where reliable, high-speed connections are required between switches, servers and storage appliances.

Advantages

The active optical cable provides stable 25Gbps signalling with minimal signal degradation over its 50 m length and offers improved EMI resistance compared to copper alternatives. Its factory-terminated duplex SFP28 interfaces simplify installation and eliminate field terminations. The lower cable weight and smaller bend radius contribute to easier airflow management and cable routing in server racks. The plug-and-play nature reduces configuration time while maintaining consistent latency characteristics for latency-sensitive applications.

Suitable for

• Data center switch-to-switch uplinks
• Server-to-switch connections in high-density racks
• Storage area network interconnects
• High-speed aggregation links within campus or enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP28 duplex
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per channel (full-duplex link)
• Length: 50 metres
• Media type: active optical cable (single-mode/multimode optical construction as per manufacturer implementation)
• Latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Electromagnetic immunity: inherent due to optical transmission
• Form factor: factory-terminated, hot-pluggable

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 ports on your switches, servers or storage devices until the modules click into place. Ensure both ends are compatible with 25Gbps SFP28 ports and that devices have appropriate firmware settings for 25Gbps operation if required. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius and secure the cable to preserve airflow and rack organization. The cable is plug-and-play in most environments, but verify link status through device management interfaces after insertion.

Recommendations

Use the cable within controlled data centre environments and avoid exposure to harsh physical conditions. Verify port compatibility and link settings before deployment, and follow rack cable management best practices to prevent excessive bending or strain on the connectors. For long-term reliability, periodically inspect connectors for contamination and clean with appropriate optical-cleaning tools if necessary.
