AOC CBO Lenovo SFP-AOC-10G-2M 10G SFP+ aktívny optický kábel 2 m

The AOC CBO Lenovo SFP-AOC-10G-2M 10G SFP+ Active Optical Cable 2 m is a factory-terminated, hot-pluggable optical cable designed for short-reach 10 Gbps links between compatible SFP+ ports. It provides a direct connection solution for switches, servers and storage systems in data center and enterprise environments. With a 2 meter length and SFP+ form-factor, the cable delivers low latency and reduced electromagnetic interference versus copper alternatives while offering straightforward plug-and-play deployment.

Advantages

This 10G SFP+ active optical cable offers high-bandwidth performance with stable throughput at 10 Gbps and minimal signal degradation over the specified 2 m distance. The active optical design lowers heat generation and susceptibility to electromagnetic interference, improving link reliability in dense rack environments. Compatibility with SFP+ ports enables a compact, integrated connection without separate transceivers or fiber patch cords, simplifying installation and reducing connection points.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 10 Gbps interconnects between switches in data center racks
• Server-to-switch and storage-to-switch links within the same equipment room
• High-density top-of-rack and end-of-row cabling where space and electromagnetic performance matter

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ duplex connector (active optical cable)
• Data rate: 10 Gbps per link
• Length: 2 metres
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance networking
• Cable type: active optical, factory-terminated
• Typical application: short-distance links in data center and enterprise networks

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ ports on the devices to be linked. Ensure both devices support SFP+ active optical cables and that ports are powered down or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the equipment vendor. After seating the connectors, verify link status through device LEDs or network management tools; the connection should be recognized as a 10 Gbps SFP+ link without additional transceivers or fiber patching. For removal, follow standard hot-unplug guidelines to avoid data loss or port errors.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m active optical cable for intra-rack or adjacent-rack connections where a compact, low-interference 10 Gbps link is required. Avoid bending the cable beyond manufacturer-specified bend radius, and keep connectors free of dust or debris. Confirm firmware and vendor compatibility if using with third-party switches or servers to ensure full link functionality.
