BlueOptics ATZ4-BO InfiniBand/optický kábel 5 m QSFP oranžový

The BlueOptics ATZ4-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 5 m QSFP Orange is a 5-metre multimode fibre assembly with QSFP male connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed data transmission in rack, cabinet and data centre environments. Its orange jacket provides quick visual identification for InfiniBand or OM-type multimode links and helps maintain organised cable runs. The cable supports low-loss optical performance for short-range interconnects and is intended for use where reliable, low-latency connections are required between network equipment with QSFP interfaces.

Advantages

This QSFP-to-QSFP fibre optic cable offers a compact connection option for equipment with QSFP ports, enabling stable high-bandwidth links with minimal signal degradation over short distances. The 5 m length balances reach and manageability inside racks and cable trays, while the durable outer jacket reduces the risk of physical damage during installation and maintenance. The orange colour simplifies identification among mixed cabling and contributes to faster troubleshooting and orderly infrastructure management.

How to use

Ensure both devices to be connected have compatible QSFP ports and are powered down or in a state that allows safe hot-plugging according to the equipment manufacturer’s guidance. Align each QSFP connector with the corresponding port and insert gently until it seats fully; do not force the connector. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, maintaining the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. After installation, verify link status and performance through the network equipment management interface.

Recommendations

Maintain tidy cable management using horizontal or vertical organisers to prevent strain on the QSFP connectors. Avoid exposure to excessive heat, moisture or chemicals that could degrade the jacket. For optimal optical performance, keep connector endfaces clean and handle the cable by the connector body rather than the fibre jacket.
