BlueOptics BK840A InfiniBand optický kábel 5 m LC Aqua OM3

The BlueOptics BK840A InfiniBand fibre optic cable 5 m LC Aqua OM3 is a multimode optical cable designed for high-speed data transmission in networking environments. With LC connectors and OM3 fibre, this 5-metre cable supports fast, reliable links between switches, servers and storage systems commonly found in data centres and enterprise networks. The cable construction and OM3 fibre type enable low insertion loss and consistent signal quality over the specified distance.

Advantages

This LC Aqua OM3 fibre cable provides predictable multimode performance for short- to medium-reach links. The 5 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections without excessive slack. LC connectors ensure compact port density and compatibility with common InfiniBand transceivers and duplex ports. The OM3 grade supports increased bandwidth and is suitable for 10 Gigabit and higher multimode applications where standardized optical performance is required.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack and intra-rack connections in data centres
• Connecting InfiniBand switches, host channel adapters (HCAs) and storage arrays
• Short- to medium-distance multimode links up to the OM3 performance range
• High-density patch panels and equipment with LC duplex ports

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Connector type: LC duplex (Aqua)
• Length: 5 metres
• Core/cladding diameter: 125 µm core diameter specification
• Cable application: InfiniBand and multimode optical networking

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the LC duplex connectors into the corresponding LC ports on networking equipment or transceivers, ensuring correct orientation and a secure latch. Route the cable to minimise sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius for OM3 multimode fibre. Verify link LEDs and run appropriate diagnostic or management tools to confirm optical link status and performance after installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM3 cable in environments with compatible multimode transceivers and follow standard fibre handling practices: keep connector endfaces clean, avoid tight bends, and store slack neatly in cable management trays. Use dust caps when connectors are not in use and inspect endfaces with a fibre inspection tool if signal issues are detected.
