BlueOptics CBL-QSFP+AOC-3M-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 3 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics CBL-QSFP+AOC-3M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 3-meter active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP connectors on both ends in a male/male configuration. Designed for short-reach, high-speed links, this multi-mode fibre assembly supports up to 40 Gbit/s data rates and follows QSFP form-factor and MSA-compatible signalling conventions. It integrates optical transmitters and receivers in the connector housings to enable reliable 40GBASE-SR4, Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet links between switches, servers and storage systems in data centres and high-performance computing environments.

Advantages

The BlueOptics AOC provides a compact, low-latency connection with electrical-equivalent QSFP termination while eliminating separate transceivers and patch cables. Its integrated optical transceivers reduce power and space requirements compared with discrete optics plus patch cords, and the 3 m length simplifies rack-to-rack or intra-rack connections where short, high-bandwidth links are needed. MSA-compatible QSFP connectors ensure interoperability with equipment that supports QSFP AOC modules for 40GBASE-SR4 and similar multi-mode optical interfaces.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics CBL-QSFP+AOC-3M-BO by inserting each QSFP connector firmly into the QSFP ports of the devices to be linked, ensuring the latch engages and the connector is seated. No separate transceivers are required; the cable provides integrated optical transceivers on both ends. After physical installation, verify link status in connected devices and configure interfaces according to your switch or server operating system and network settings. Handle the cable by the connector housings when plugging or unplugging and avoid tight bends; follow equipment vendor guidance for port enablement and firmware compatibility where applicable.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m AOC for short-reach high-bandwidth connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid routing the cable through areas with sharp bends or excessive mechanical stress, and verify that connected hardware officially supports QSFP AOC modules for 40GBASE-SR4 to ensure full interoperability.
