CBO aktívny optický kábel SFP-AOC-10G-5M 10 Gbps 5 m

The CBO active optical cable SFP-AOC-10G-5M 10 Gbps 5 m is a factory-terminated SFP+ active optical cable that delivers 10 Gbps connectivity over a 5-metre link. Built for short-reach interconnects, this cable integrates SFP+ connectors and fiber transmission in a single assembly to remove the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. It is intended for use in data centres, server rooms and high-density rack environments where compact, low-power 10G links are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers a plug-and-play SFP+ form factor with lower power consumption compared with discrete transceiver-plus-patch-cord solutions. Factory termination ensures consistent optical performance and reduces installation time and handling errors. The single-assembly design minimises rack congestion and improves airflow in high-density installations while supporting reliable 10 Gbps links over short distances.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack and end-of-row switch-to-switch connections
• Server-to-switch interconnects in data centres
• Storage area network uplinks and short-reach fabrics
• High-density rack environments where space and power are constrained

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps (SFP+ compatible)
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector type: SFP+ form-factor integrated
• Cable type: Active optical assembly
• Application: Short-reach interconnects for switches, servers and storage
• Power profile: Low-power active optics suitable for dense deployments

How to use

Insert each SFP+ end of the active optical cable into the SFP+ ports of the devices to be connected, following the host equipment manufacturer’s guidelines for hot-plugging. Ensure both ends are fully seated and latched; the link should establish automatically if the equipment supports SFP+ AOC modules. No separate transceivers or fibre patch cords are required. For initial setup, verify link status and speed in the network device management interface and confirm optics-related settings are compatible with 10 Gbps operation.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends near the termination points. Maintain the specified minimum bend radius and protect the cable from sharp edges and mechanical strain. Use this 5 m active optical cable for short-reach connections inside racks and across adjacent racks; for longer distances, choose an appropriately rated cable or transceiver solution.
