CBO AOC Lenovo SFP-AOC-10G-3M 10G aktívny optický kábel, 3 m, SFP+

The CBO AOC Lenovo SFP-AOC-10G-3M 10G active optical cable, 3 m, SFP+ is a 3‑metre SFP+ active optical direct-attach cable designed for 10 Gbps links in short-reach data centre and rack environments. It provides a pre‑terminated optical connection for SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage equipment, offering the bandwidth and low latency required for server-to-switch and switch-to-switch interconnects while reducing electromagnetic interference and power consumption compared with equivalent copper direct-attach cables.

Advantages

This active optical cable supports 10 Gbps data rates over a 3 m rated length, delivering consistent high‑bandwidth performance for intra-rack and adjacent-rack connections. As an optical solution, it offers immunity to electrical interference and a lower power profile than some copper alternatives. The pre‑assembled SFP+ form factor simplifies installation and reduces the chance of connection errors, making it suitable for dense rack deployments where reliability and signal integrity are important.

Suitable for

• 10 Gbps links between SFP+ ports on switches and servers
• Short-reach connections within data centre racks or between adjacent racks
• High-bandwidth storage and compute interconnects requiring low latency
• Environments seeking reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper cabling

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ direct-attach active optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Length: 3 metres
• Cable type: active optical (AOC)
• Intended use: short-reach intra-rack or adjacent-rack interconnects

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on network switches, servers or storage devices. Ensure both end devices support SFP+ optics and that the ports are powered down or follow hot‑plug procedures recommended by the equipment manufacturer. After insertion, verify link status via device LEDs or management interfaces and confirm 10 Gbps operation in the host equipment configuration.

Recommendations

Handle the active optical cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends near the cable ends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Use this AOC for short‑reach connections up to the specified 3 m length and verify compatibility with the SFP+ ports on your hardware before deployment.
