CBO SFP-AOC-10G-7M aktívny optický kábel (AOC) 10 Gbps, 7 m

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-7M is a 7-metre SFP+ AOC that supports 10 Gbps data rates for short to medium distance links. It connects SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage arrays using integrated optical transceivers and a fixed fiber assembly, providing low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference while consuming less power than equivalent copper twinax solutions.

Advantages

The cable combines integrated transceivers and a pre-terminated optical link to simplify installation and reduce points of failure. Its optical design provides stable 10 Gbps throughput with low insertion loss and immunity to electromagnetic noise in densely cabled environments. Compared with copper direct-attach options, the AOC offers lower power consumption and reduced heat generation, which helps with rack-level cooling and energy efficiency.

Suitable for

• High-speed interconnects between data centre switches and top-of-rack equipment
• Server-to-switch and server-to-storage connections requiring 10 Gbps links
• Short to medium reach links inside telecom rooms and equipment cabinets
• Environments sensitive to electromagnetic interference where optical links are preferred

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP+ active optical cable assembly
• Data rate: 10 Gbps (full duplex)
• Length: 7 metres
• Connector type: SFP+ plug on both ends (hot-pluggable)
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fiber integrated into AOC
• Latency: low-latency design suitable for high-performance switching
• Power: lower power consumption compared with equivalent copper solutions
• EMI performance: immune to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Install the SFP-AOC-10G-7M by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ slot on your network devices until the latch engages. No separate optical transceiver or fiber patching is required because the transceivers and fiber are factory-terminated. Verify link negotiation and speed on both devices and ensure compatible SFP+ ports and firmware settings. For removal, depress the release latch and withdraw the connector carefully to avoid bending or stressing the cable assembly.
