DAC kábel CBO SFP28-DAC-5M 5 m pasívny medený SFP28 Direct Attach

CBO SFP28-DAC-5M is a 5-meter passive copper direct-attach cable designed for devices with SFP28 ports. It provides a fixed, end-to-end connection for 25Gbps SFP28-enabled switches, servers and other network equipment, delivering low latency and energy-efficient short-range links. The cable is intended for reliable rack-to-rack or in-rack interconnects where a straightforward 5 m copper connection is required.

Advantages

The passive copper design minimizes power consumption compared with active optical solutions while maintaining consistent throughput at 25Gbps. As a direct-attach cable, it eliminates the need for separate transceivers and simplifies installation. The 5 m length balances reach and signal integrity for short-distance links inside data centers or network closets. Constructed for compatibility with SFP28 ports, the cable supports low-latency operation and stable physical-layer performance.

Suitable for

• Short-range connections between switches and servers in racks
• Top-of-rack to aggregation switch links within a data center
• High-density network patching in server rooms and closets
• Environments requiring low-power, cost-effective 25Gbps links

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 direct-attach twinax copper
• Nominal data rate: 25 Gbps per channel
• Length: 5 meters
• Passive (no active electronic components in-line)
• Physical format: fixed cable with SFP28 plug-terminated ends
• Typical applications: short-reach data center interconnects

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 plug into the appropriate SFP28 ports on the network devices until the latch engages. Confirm link light indicators on connected equipment to verify link establishment. For best signal integrity, avoid sharp bends in the cable and maintain appropriate routing clearances within racks. When removing the cable, depress the latch mechanism and pull straight out to prevent port or connector damage.

Recommendations

Use this passive SFP28 direct-attach cable for short-distance connections where 25Gbps bandwidth and low latency are required. Verify device compatibility with SFP28 passive twinax modules and follow equipment vendor guidelines for supported cable assemblies. Store and route the cable to avoid excessive bending and mechanical strain to maintain long-term reliability.
