BlueOptics Q28-AOC-3M-PA-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 3m QSFP28 konektor samec

The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-3M-PA-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 3m QSFP28 Male is a 3‑metre active optical cable designed for high‑speed InfiniBand and Ethernet interconnections. With QSFP28 male connectors at both ends, this cable supports high data throughput and low latency for short‑reach links inside racks and between adjacent network equipment. Its design targets data centre and high‑performance computing environments where reliable, interference‑free links are required.

Advantages

This blue InfiniBand fibre optic cable offers a compact, lightweight alternative to traditional copper cabling, reducing rack congestion and improving airflow. The QSFP28 connector format enables high bandwidth and supports multi-lane signalling for accelerated data transfer. As an active optical cable, it delivers consistent signal integrity over the 3 m length while being immune to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for dense, signal-sensitive installations.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centres
• Interconnects between servers and switches in high‑performance computing clusters
• Short‑reach uplinks and spine-leaf network links
• Low-latency, high-bandwidth InfiniBand and QSFP28 environments

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Connector type: QSFP28 male to QSFP28 male
• Length: 3 metres
• Application: InfiniBand and compatible high-speed serial interfaces
• Signal features: Multi-lane high-bandwidth support, low latency
• Physical characteristics: Lightweight, flexible jacket suitable for rack environments

How to use

Connect each QSFP28 male connector to the corresponding QSFP28 port on your server, switch or network adapter. Ensure ports are powered down or follow hot‑swap procedures recommended by your equipment vendor if making live changes. Route the 3 m cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive strain on the connectors; maintain a bend radius consistent with manufacturer guidance for optical cabling. After connection, verify link status via device LEDs or management interfaces and perform any required link training or configuration on the connected devices.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m QSFP28 AOC for short-reach, high-bandwidth links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid exposure to excessive heat or mechanical stress, and keep connectors clean and capped when not in use to maintain signal quality.
