BlueOptics QSFP-40G-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand/optický kábel 5m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics QSFP-40G-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable is a 5-meter active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP male-to-male connectors designed for high-speed short-range links. It implements QSFP connectivity compatible with 40GBASE-SR4 applications and carries optical signals over multimode fiber with integrated transmitter and receiver modules in each connector. The cable is intended for data center and networking environments where reliable 40 Gbit/s links are required between switches, routers, storage systems or other QSFP-equipped hardware.

Advantages

This QSFP AOC provides high bandwidth with low latency for short-range links and eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords by integrating transceivers into the cable ends. As an active optical cable, it offers lower electrical interference and reduced weight compared with equivalent copper assemblies, while supporting standardized QSFP form-factor connections for straightforward installation and hot-plug capability.

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP male connector into the corresponding QSFP port on your compatible equipment until the latch engages. The integrated transceivers are plug-and-play on systems that support QSFP AOC modules; verify that host devices are configured for 40G operation and that ports are enabled. Avoid excessive bending of the cable near the connectors and maintain proper fiber routing to prevent strain or kinks. If link issues occur, verify port settings and replace or swap with a known-good AOC to isolate the problem.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m BlueOptics QSFP AOC for short-reach 40G links in rack and row-level data center topologies. Keep bend radius within manufacturer guidelines, avoid exposure to sharp edges or crushing, and ensure QSFP host firmware supports AOC operation for full compatibility.
