BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-7M-MA-BO InfiniBand/optický kábel 7m konektor/konektor

The BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-7M-MA-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 7m Male/Male is a 7-metre active optical cable designed for high-speed links between network devices. With QSFP male connectors on both ends, this cable supports low-latency, high-bandwidth data transmission for rack-to-rack, switch-to-switch, or server-to-switch connections in dense computing and networking environments.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers high data throughput with low electromagnetic interference and reduced signal loss compared with long copper runs. The integrated transceivers simplify installation by eliminating separate modules, and the flexible cable design eases routing in constrained data centre racks. The 7 m length provides reach for common equipment layouts while maintaining consistent performance across the full span.

Suitable for

• High-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand fabrics
• Data centre interconnects between switches and servers
• Rack-to-rack and top-of-rack connectivity where QSFP ports are available
• Low-latency storage networks and accelerated compute environments

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP male to QSFP male
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 7 metres
• Supported protocol: InfiniBand and compatible optical networking standards
• Typical use: Short- to medium-reach data centre links with high bandwidth requirements
• Design: Flexible jacket for cable management in racks

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP male connector into the corresponding QSFP port on your devices until the connector latches. Ensure both devices are powered and configured to recognise direct AOC connections; the integrated optical transceivers typically negotiate link parameters automatically. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, maintaining the recommended bend radius for optical cables. If replacing an existing link, power down devices first if required by your equipment guidelines, then connect and verify link status through device management interfaces.

Recommendations

Use this 7 m active optical cable for clean, high-bandwidth interconnects inside racks and between nearby racks. Avoid kinking or tight bends, keep connectors free of dust, and follow your hardware vendor’s compatibility list for QSFP AOC links to ensure optimal performance.
