BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-AL-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 25 m SFP+ konektor samec

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-AL-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 25-metre active optical cable with SFP+ male connectors designed for high-speed data links. Intended for short- to mid-range interconnects, this cable provides a compact, plug-and-play alternative to separate transceivers and fibre patch cords, simplifying installation in server racks, switches and storage arrays.

Advantages

The cable supports 10 Gigabit data rates over a 25 m active optical link, delivering low-latency performance suitable for demanding network environments. Its SFP+ male connector form factor ensures compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP+ modules, while the integrated active optics reduce signal attenuation compared with passive copper alternatives. The single-cable solution reduces cable bulk and eliminates the need for additional transceivers, which can simplify inventory and decrease installation time.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches and top-of-rack servers in data centres
• High-speed connections for storage area networks (SAN) and networked storage
• Low-latency links for compute clusters and InfiniBand-capable systems
• Short- to mid-range links inside racks or between adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Supported data rate: 10 Gbit/s
• Length: 25 metres
• Latency: low-latency design suitable for high-performance networking
• Application: InfiniBand / SFP+ compatible high-speed links

How to use

Ensure both devices have SFP+ ports that accept SFP+ modules and power is applied according to the host equipment procedures. Insert each SFP+ male connector into the corresponding SFP+ receptacle until it seats securely and locks. The AOC is a plug-and-play solution; in most systems the link will be recognised automatically and report the appropriate speed. For rack installations, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment vendor.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid excess bending or kinking of the cable, keep the connector ends free of dust, and secure the cable to prevent strain on the SFP+ ports. Use within the recommended 25 m distance and verify compatibility with the host equipment’s supported SFP+ AOC modules when mixing brands.
