BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-GM-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 15m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-GM-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15‑metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for high‑speed, short‑reach connections in data centres and high‑performance computing environments. It supports multi‑lane 25G transmission over multimode fibre and is intended for direct SFP28 to SFP28 links where compliant hardware and SFP28 ports are available.

Advantages

This AOC provides a compact, lightweight alternative to traditional copper or transceiver-plus-patch‑fibre assemblies, reducing rack congestion and improving airflow. With integrated transmitter and receiver elements on each module end, the cable offers consistent signal integrity across the 15 m length and minimal insertion complexity. The design is compatible with SFP28 ports and follows MSA signalling conventions, enabling straightforward deployment in supported switches, routers and storage systems.

Suitable for

• High‑density server-to-switch connections in data centres
• Interconnects in high‑performance computing clusters
• Short‑reach links between storage systems and host adapters
• Switch-to-switch or switch-to-router SFP28 links within racks or adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Length: 15 metres
• Transmission type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) using multimode fibre
• Data rate: supports up to 25 Gbit/s per link (25GBASE-SR4 class applications)
• Application protocols: Ethernet and related high‑speed protocols over SFP28 interfaces

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port until it latches; ensure the host ports are powered and configured for the desired link speed. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; multimode AOC assemblies typically require gentle handling similar to fibre patch cords. Verify link status via device LEDs or management interfaces and confirm negotiated speeds and lanes in the host equipment.

Recommendations

Use this BlueOptics 15 m SFP28 AOC in short‑reach, high‑density environments where consistent 25G connectivity is required. Install in supported hardware that accepts SFP28 AOCs and follow vendor guidance for compatibility. Avoid sharp bends, excessive pulling, or environments with high mechanical abrasion. For critical deployments, validate the link in your specific hardware and firmware combination before large‑scale rollout.
