BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-30M-EN-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 30 m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-30M-EN-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 30m Male/Male is a 30-metre active optical cable with SFP28 form-factor connectors on both ends. It provides a compact, factory-terminated solution for short- to medium-reach high-speed links, supporting low-latency, high-bandwidth connections commonly used in data centre and high-performance computing environments. The cable is intended for direct device-to-device connections where reliable signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference are required.

Advantages

This Active Optical Cable offers consistent high-speed data transmission with minimal signal loss across its 30 m length. The SFP28 Male/Male connectors provide hot-pluggable installation and compatibility with SFP28 ports, enabling easy replacement or extension of optical links. As an optical solution, it eliminates copper-related crosstalk and susceptibility to EMI while maintaining a small cable diameter for improved airflow and cable management in rack environments.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, servers and storage in data centres
• High-performance computing clusters requiring InfiniBand connectivity
• Short- to medium-reach links in network cabinets and server racks
• Environments where low latency and high bandwidth are essential

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 Male to SFP28 Male
• Length: 30 metres
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Application: InfiniBand high-speed data links
• Benefits: Low latency, high bandwidth, immunity to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Install the cable by aligning and inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 ports on the two devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered according to their manufacturer guidelines before connecting or disconnecting to avoid transients. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the recommended bend radius for optical fibres. Active optical cables are plug-and-play with supported ports and typically require no additional configuration beyond verifying link status in the connected devices.

Recommendations

Verify compatibility with your devices' SFP28 ports and InfiniBand support before installation. Keep the connector dust caps until ready to install, avoid excessive bending or tension, and secure cable routing within racks to preserve signal performance and physical integrity over time.
