CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q2M aktívny optický kábel, dĺžka 2 m

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q2M active optical cable is a 2 m, direct-attach fiber solution designed for 25Gbps-class links. Built for SFP28 ports, this AOC integrates optical transceivers into the cable ends to provide a single, plug-and-play connection without separate modules. It targets short-reach interconnects between servers, switches and storage devices where reduced cabling bulk, low latency and consistent signal quality are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers high-bandwidth 25Gbps performance with the electrical interface and form factor of SFP28, while using optical fiber to lower electromagnetic interference and weight compared with copper twinax. The pre-terminated design simplifies installation and inventory management by eliminating separate transceivers and fiber patch cords. Its 2 m length is suitable for typical rack- and top-of-rack deployments, providing reliable link integrity and consistent latency for data center interconnects.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch connections within racks and across adjacent racks
• Top-of-rack (ToR) switch uplinks and storage array links
• High-density switch panels where reduced cable bulk and airflow are important

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 form-factor, active optical cable ends
• Data rate: 25 Gbps class link performance
• Cable type: active optical fiber integrated into a pre-terminated assembly
• Length: 2 meters
• Compatibility: compatible with SFP28 ports supporting AOC modules
• Transmission: short-reach multimode/optimized optical channel for data center links

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 end into the corresponding SFP28 port on the devices to be connected. Ensure that both devices support active optical cable connections and that their ports are enabled for 25Gbps operation if required. Secure the cable routing to avoid strain on the connectors and maintain proper airflow in the rack. No separate transceiver or fiber patching is needed; the integrated optical ends handle the optical-electrical conversion.

Recommendations

Verify firmware or compatibility lists on network equipment if link negotiation issues occur, and avoid tight bends or kinks in the optical cable. Use the 2 m length for intra-rack or short adjacent-rack links to minimize excess slack; for longer runs, select appropriately rated optical or module-based solutions.
