CBO Ciena QSFP-100G-AOC-10M BlueOptics 10m QSFP28 aktívny optický kábel

The CBO Ciena QSFP-100G-AOC-10M BlueOptics 10m QSFP28 Active Optical Cable is a factory-terminated 10-metre QSFP28 AOC engineered for 100G links between QSFP28-enabled switches, routers and servers. The BlueOptics cable integrates optical transceivers into a single lightweight assembly that connects directly into QSFP28 ports, eliminating the need for separate pluggable transceivers and simplifying rack-to-rack and cabinet-to-cabinet connectivity inside data centers and short-range backbone links.

Advantages

This 10m Active Optical Cable offers lower power consumption compared with equivalent electrical copper solutions and reduces heat load in dense equipment environments. The factory-terminated design ensures consistent optical performance and fast deployment without onsite termination. Its QSFP28 form factor supports 100 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity while maintaining a compact, flexible cable assembly suitable for high-density installations.

Suitable for

• Data centre rack-to-rack interconnects
• Short-range backbone and aggregation links
• High-speed uplinks between switches and routers
• Server connectivity in high-density compute environments

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP28 to QSFP28 active optical cable
• Data rate: 100 Gbit/s
• Length: 10 metres
• Media: multimode optical assembly with integrated transceivers
• Power profile: lower power consumption compared with equivalent copper cables
• Form factor: compact, flexible cable suitable for dense deployments

How to use

Install the CBO BlueOptics QSFP-100G-AOC-10M by inserting each QSFP28 connector into compatible QSFP28 ports on network devices until the connector latches. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by the equipment manufacturer if inserting into live ports. Verify link status in the device management interface and use standard network diagnostics to confirm full 100G operation.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain bend radii as specified by the equipment vendor. Use this AOC within data centre environments and controlled ambient conditions, and consult switch or server documentation for supported QSFP28 AOC compatibility lists when integrating into existing networks.
