Alcasa LW-S915LASA InfiniBand sklenené vlákno kábel 15 m LC SC žltý

The Alcasa LW-S915LASA InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15 m LC SC Yellow is a single-mode OS2 patch cable engineered for high-speed, long-distance data transmission. Delivered with LC and SC connectors, this 15-metre cable supports InfiniBand networking environments where stable, low-attenuation optical links are required. Its yellow jacket provides easy visual identification in structured cabling runs and data center racks.

Advantages

This InfiniBand fibre optic cable provides stable signal integrity for long-reach links thanks to its single-mode OS2 fibre core, resulting in low attenuation and minimal modal dispersion. The LC connector on one end offers a compact footprint for high-density patch panels, while the SC connector on the other end ensures reliable push-pull coupling in legacy and enterprise equipment. The 15 m length balances flexibility and reach for typical rack-to-rack and room-to-room connections, and the bright yellow sheath simplifies route tracing and maintenance tasks.

Key specifications

• Cable type: single-mode optical fibre (OS2)
• Length: 15 metres
• Connector A: LC (single-fibre connector)
• Connector B: SC (single-fibre connector)
• Colour: yellow outer jacket
• Application: InfiniBand and high-speed optical links

How to use

Identify the LC and SC ports on your networking equipment and ensure both interfaces are clean before connection. Route the 15 m cable through cable management pathways to avoid sharp bends; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for single-mode fibre to prevent increased attenuation. Insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until they click into place. After installation, verify link status and perform optical power or continuity checks as part of standard commissioning procedures.

Recommendations

Use dust caps when the cable is not connected and clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools to preserve signal quality. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; secure the cable with Velcro straps rather than metal clips. For critical links, perform periodic optical loss testing and document cable routing for maintenance and troubleshooting.
