InfiniBand/sklenené optické vlákno kábel BlueOptics 740-084669-BO 15 m SFP28 konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics 740-084669-BO is a 15 m InfiniBand/fibre optic active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 male-to-male connectors designed for high-speed data transmission. Compatible with systems that accept SFP28 AOC modules, this cable implements 25GBASE-SR4 signalling over multimode fibre and integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end to support low-latency, high-throughput links in data centre and networking environments.

Advantages

This 15 m AOC provides a plug-and-play replacement for systems that support SFP28 AOC connectivity, enabling up to 25 Gbps per lane over multimode fibre while eliminating the need for separate optical transceivers and patch cords. The male-to-male SFP28 configuration simplifies installation and integration into existing switch, router, or storage hardware. As an active optical cable, it offers electrical isolation, reduced weight, and lower EMI susceptibility compared with equivalent copper cables.

Suitable for

• High-density switch-to-switch connections in data centres
• Server uplinks and top-of-rack aggregation
• Storage area network (SAN) links and Fibre Channel over Ethernet
• Low-latency interconnects in routing and switching platforms

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC) using multimode fibre
• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Length: 15 metres
• Data rate: Supports 25GBASE-SR4 signalling (up to 25 Gbps per channel)
• Applications: Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) compatible

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your networking equipment until the connector latches. Ensure ports and devices officially support SFP28 AOC modules. After insertion, verify link status via device LEDs or management interface and confirm negotiated speed and protocol. For removal, depress the latch and pull the module straight out to avoid damaging the connector or port.

Recommendations

Handle the fibre cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius. Use in environments and hardware that explicitly support SFP28 AOC modules and 25GBASE-SR4 signalling. For critical deployments, test the cable in your platform to confirm compatibility and performance before large-scale rollout.
