Optický kábel BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-LC-2M-BO aqua 2 m OM3 LC SC

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-LC-2M-BO is a 2-meter multimode fiber patch cable designed for high-speed optical networks. It uses OM3 laser-optimized multimode fiber with an LC/UPC connector on one end and an SC/UPC connector on the other, and is intended for connecting patch panels, optical transceivers or other networking equipment requiring LC-to-SC terminations. The cable comes in an aqua jacket color and is supplied with a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) sheath to reduce smoke and toxic gas emission in the event of fire. It is compatible with common Cisco equipment and meets recognized fiber patch-cable manufacturing practices for data center and enterprise installations.

Advantages

This OM3 LC–SC patch cable provides low attenuation and high return-loss performance suitable for multimode short-range optical links. Built with laser-optimized multimode fiber and precision ceramic ferrules, the cable is produced using branded fiber and connector components to ensure consistent transmission characteristics and mechanical durability. The LSZH sheath improves safety in enclosed spaces by minimizing halogen release and smoke generation. Each cable is tested for input loss and return loss, with quality control tests such as interferometry and OTDR measurements performed during production.

How to use

Inspect connectors and ports for dust or contamination before mating. Remove protective dust caps from LC and SC connectors, align the connector keying with the device port, and insert until a positive engagement is felt. Use cable management and strain relief to avoid sharp bends and tension on the cable; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for OM3 multimode fiber. If the cable is used in a patch panel, route and secure it to prevent movement and accidental disconnection. After installation, verify link performance with appropriate optical test equipment if required.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable by the connector boots or the jacket, avoid touching the ferrule endfaces, and clean endfaces with approved fiber-cleaning tools before connection. For best optical performance, use matching UPC-polished connectors on linked devices and follow industry cleaning and testing procedures. Replace any cable that shows physical damage or fails optical verification tests.
