Optický kábel BlueOptics FCKAB-OM4-C05-L-BO LC LC/UPC OM4 5 m fialový

The BlueOptics FCKAB-OM4-C05-L-BO LC/LC 5 m fibre optic cable is designed for high-speed data transmission in professional networks. This OM4 multimode cable has a 50 µm core diameter and LC connectors with UPC polish on both ends, offering low attenuation and stable signal integrity over short to medium distances. The cable's violet jacket provides clear visual identification in dense cabling environments and supports applications requiring consistent optical performance, including InfiniBand links and enterprise backbone segments.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable delivers improved bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, enabling reliable support for 10 Gbit/s and higher speeds over the specified distances. The LC/UPC connectors offer precise alignment and low reflectance for minimal signal loss. The 5 m length suits rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections, while the violet jacket improves traceability and organization in patching fields.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics LC/LC cable by aligning the LC connectors with the LC ports on your equipment or patch panel and inserting until the latch clicks. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to avoid signal degradation; use a fibre cleaning tool or lint-free wipes with appropriate cleaning fluid. Route the cable following standard bend-radius guidelines for multimode fibre to maintain optical performance, and secure it to cable management hardware to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, store and handle the cable in a clean environment and avoid sharp bends or tight loops. Confirm connector cleanliness periodically and replace protective caps when the cable is not in use. Use OM4 cable for applications requiring higher bandwidth or where future upgrades to 40/100 Gbit/s over multimode fibre may be planned.
