Optický kábel BlueOptics FCKAB-OM4-C15-L-BO LC LC/UPC OM4 15 m fialový

The BlueOptics FCKAB-OM4-C15-L-BO LC to LC/UPC fibre optic cable is a 15 metre OM4 multimode link designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. It uses a 50 µm core diameter multimode fibre and LC/UPC connectors at both ends, providing low-loss connections suitable for data centre patching, backbone links and high-performance computing interconnects. The cable’s violet jacket makes it easy to identify within structured cabling environments while maintaining standard multimode optical performance.

Advantages

This OM4 multimode cable delivers consistent insertion loss and return loss characteristics appropriate for short- to mid-range high-bandwidth links. The 50 µm core supports efficient light propagation and is compatible with common multimode transceivers, enabling InfiniBand and Ethernet applications. LC/UPC connectors offer compact footprint and precise alignment for dense installations. The 15 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections without excessive slack.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics OM4 cable by inserting the LC connectors into compatible transceiver ports or patch panel adapters until they click into place. Ensure connector endfaces are clean before mating to minimise insertion loss; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if needed. Route the cable following standard bend radius and cable management practices to avoid sharp bends or kinks. When disconnecting, press the LC latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, verify transceiver compatibility with OM4 multimode fibre and maintain clean connector endfaces. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable in cable managers or trays to maintain optical performance. Use this cable where OM4-rated multimode links are specified for 10GbE, 40GbE or InfiniBand environments.
