AXIS FA4115 is a compact varifocal dome sensor unit intended for discreet indoor video surveillance in stores, offices and banks. Designed to be used with an AXIS FA Main Unit, this sensor provides full HD 1080p resolution and a flexible horizontal field of view from 53° to 99°. The unit is compact and lightweight, and it is supplied with a mounting bracket and an 8 m (26 ft) cable for connection to the main unit.

How to use

Mount the AXIS FA4115 sensor unit using the supplied bracket and connect it to an AXIS FA Main Unit with the included 8 m (26 ft) cable. Adjust the varifocal lens to set the desired horizontal field of view between 53° and 99°, and tilt the unit within the 0°–90° range to frame the scene. Configure image settings and enable Forensic WDR on the main unit as needed to optimise detail in scenes with varying brightness.

Recommendations

Install the sensor indoors in a protected location away from direct sunlight and moisture. For best forensic detail, position the camera so that subjects are well lit from the front and avoid backlit scenes when possible; use the varifocal adjustment to prioritise detail or scene coverage depending on monitoring needs.
