Sieťový kábel Dätwyler Cables 21.05.0517 oranžový 1 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dätwyler Cables 21.05.0517 Orange 1 m Cat6a S/FTP is a high-performance Ethernet patch cable engineered for reliable wired network connections. This 1-metre cable conforms to Cat6a specifications and incorporates S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs) shielding to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the cable supports high-speed data transmission for modern networking environments and is supplied in an orange jacket for easy identification and cable management.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction improves signal integrity by combining an overall shield with foil around each twisted pair, enhancing resistance to external interference and minimizing alien crosstalk in dense installations. Cat6a performance allows the cable to support higher frequencies and greater bandwidth compared with lower categories, making it suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over a typical link length. The orange jacket provides visual distinction for organized patching and quick fault tracing.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links within data centers and telecom rooms
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch patching in structured cabling systems
• High-density rack and cabinet environments where reduced interference is required
• Temporary or permanent connections in office, industrial, and lab networks

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braided shield with individually foiled pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 1 metre
• Jacket colour: Orange
• Suitable for supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet at standardized distances

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network interface on your device and the other end to the corresponding port on a switch, patch panel, or router. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure a reliable contact. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension, and close proximity to known sources of electromagnetic interference. For structured cabling, label and document the cable endpoints according to your site’s numbering scheme.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this S/FTP Cat6a cable in combination with properly grounded shielded connectors and patch panels. Maintain bend radius recommendations (typically four times the cable diameter) and avoid kinking. In high-density installations, separate power cabling and strong electromagnetic sources to preserve signal integrity.
