Aktívny optický kábel CBO SFP28 AOC BlueOptics BO272703Q50M 50 m

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q50M 50 m is a factory-terminated SFP28 multimode optical interconnect designed for 25 Gbps links between servers, switches and storage appliances. The 50-metre AOC provides a plug-and-play fiber connection that reduces electromagnetic interference and supports low-latency transmission for short-reach data centre interconnects and high-performance network backbones.

Advantages

The cable delivers 25 Gbps line-rate performance with an integrated SFP28 form-factor transceiver on each end, eliminating the need for separate transceivers and fiber patching. As an active optical assembly, it offers reduced weight and improved thermal characteristics compared with copper DACs over the same distance, along with immunity to EMI and lower crosstalk. The pre-terminated design simplifies installation and reduces setup time in rack-to-rack and within-rack connections.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25 Gbps server-to-switch connections
• Top-of-rack and spine-leaf data centre links
• High-density switch-to-switch interconnects
• Storage network uplinks and aggregation ports

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gbps per lane (SFP28)
• Length: 50 metres
• Cable type: Active optical cable, multimode
• Connector/form factor: SFP28 integrated transceivers at both ends
• Latency: low-latency optical transmission suitable for high-performance networks
• EMI performance: immune to electromagnetic interference compared with copper
• Installation: pre-terminated, plug-and-play

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable by inserting each integrated SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch clicks. Confirm link status on connected equipment and ensure compatible port settings (25 Gbps mode) are enabled on switches or host interfaces. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and physical strain; follow standard data centre cable management practices to preserve bend radius and connector integrity.

Recommendations

Use this 50 m BlueOptics AOC for short-reach interconnects where 25 Gbps performance and immunity to EMI are required. Verify port compatibility with SFP28 on both devices and check device firmware or vendor compatibility lists if hot-plug recognition is critical. Protect connector ends during handling and store coils without kinks to maintain optical performance.
