AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q50M 50 m aktívny optický kábel, CBO

The AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q50M 50m active optical cable is a pre-terminated, factory-tested fiber interconnect designed for SFP28 ports and 25 Gbps-class links. This 50 m active optical cable provides a single, fixed fiber connection between compatible network devices without separate transceivers, reducing installation steps and rack-side complexity. It is intended for environments where low latency, immunity to electrical interference and consistent high-speed data transmission are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers multi-gigabit performance over a 50 metre link length while maintaining low power consumption and minimal signal loss. As a direct attach AOC solution for SFP28 interfaces, it removes the need for separate optical transceivers and patch cords, simplifying cable management and reducing points of failure. The optical medium ensures electrical isolation from electromagnetic interference and supports stable throughput suitable for modern data centre architectures.

Suitable for

• Data centre uplinks between switches and aggregation devices
• Switch-to-switch connections in top-of-rack and end-of-row deployments
• Server to switch links where a fixed 50 m optical connection is required
• High-density rack environments requiring compact, pre-terminated cabling

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP28-compatible active optical cable
• Nominal link length: 50 metres
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps per lane (25 Gbps-class operation)
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC) with factory-terminated connectors
• Optical medium: multimode fibre or equivalent AOC construction for short-reach links
• Typical benefits: low latency, electrical noise immunity, compact form factor

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered off or follow hot-plug guidelines provided by the hardware vendor when connecting live equipment. Verify link status on the devices' management interfaces and confirm negotiated speed and duplex settings. For reliable operation, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable along the entire 50 m span.

Recommendations

Maintain a minimum bend radius as specified by the manufacturer and route the cable away from strong heat sources or sharp edges. Use the AOC in compatible SFP28 ports and verify interoperability with switch and server firmware; when used in data centre racks, label both ends to simplify maintenance and replacements.
