BlueOptics AFBR-8CER15Z-BC-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 15 m SFP28 konektor samec

The BlueOptics AFBR-8CER15Z-BC-BO InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable 15 m SFP28 Male is a 15-metre active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends designed for high-speed short-range links in data centres and network equipment. Built to comply with MSA SFP28 physical and electrical specifications, it supports 25G transmission and uses multimode optical pathways with integrated transmitter and receiver modules in each connector to deliver low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity between SFP28 ports.

Advantages

This cable provides a factory-terminated, ready-to-use connection that simplifies installation and reduces the need for separate transceivers. The integrated AOC design minimises signal loss over the 15 m distance and ensures consistent performance for applications requiring 25G data rates. The male-to-male SFP28 configuration offers broad compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP28 active optical cables, enabling straightforward replacement or upgrade of short-reach interconnects in racks and server rows.

Suitable for

• High-speed interconnects between switches and servers within data centres
• Short-reach links in storage area networks and SAN switches
• Connections for network appliances, routers and Fibre Channel over Ethernet setups supporting 25G

Key specifications

• Length: 15 metres
• Connector type: SFP28 male on both ends
• Transmission rate: up to 25 Gbit/s per link
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC) with multimode optical transmission
• Application: short-range data centre and networking interconnects

How to use

Install the BlueOptics AFBR-8CER15Z-BC-BO by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your devices until the retention latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by the hardware vendor to avoid port damage. Verify link status on both endpoints after connection and confirm negotiated speed and link parameters in the host device management interface.

Recommendations

Use this 15 m SFP28 AOC for intra-rack and short inter-rack connections where 25G performance is required. Maintain bend radius guidelines for optical cables, avoid tight routing through sharp edges, and keep the connectors clean and capped until installation to preserve signal quality.
