BlueOptics AOC-SFP-25G-15M-BO InfiniBand optický kábel SFP28 15 m konektor samec/konektor samec

The BlueOptics AOC-SFP-25G-15M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable SFP28 15m Male/Male is a 15-metre active optical cable designed for short-reach, high-bandwidth connections in data centres and high-performance computing setups. Featuring SFP28-compatible connectors on both ends, this cable supports 25 Gbps data rates over a single optical link and provides a compact, low-latency physical connection between servers, switches and storage devices. The all-optical design reduces electromagnetic interference and eliminates the need for separate transceivers, offering a space-efficient cabling option for dense rack deployments.

Advantages

This SFP28 InfiniBand cable delivers reliable 25 Gbps throughput and a stable signal across its full 15 m length. The male-to-male SFP28 connectors ensure straightforward hot-pluggable installation and a secure mechanical fit. The active optical construction provides low power consumption compared with some copper alternatives while maintaining signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. Its compact form factor and single-cable simplicity reduce cable bulk and improve airflow within racks.

Suitable for

• Connecting servers to 25 Gbps SFP28 ports in data centres
• Linking high-performance computing nodes and storage arrays
• Short-reach switch-to-switch uplinks in rack environments
• Environments requiring low latency and stable high-speed links

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Supported data rate: 25 Gbps per lane (single 25G link)
• Length: 15 metres
• Transmission medium: Fibre optics
• Typical use case: Short-reach high-bandwidth links in racks and data centres
• Design: Low-profile, hot-pluggable SFP28 modules integrated into the cable ends

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible SFP28 ports and support 25 Gbps links. With equipment powered on or during maintenance windows, insert each SFP28 end into the corresponding port until it clicks into place. Verify link status via the host device’s management interface or LEDs; the cable requires no separate transceivers. If the link does not establish, check port configuration, firmware compatibility and device compatibility with active optical cables. Handle the cable by its connectors and avoid tight bends or kinks to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

Route the cable following rack cable-management best practices to avoid sharp bends and minimize stress on the connectors. Maintain bend radius consistent with optical fibre specifications, keep cable length appropriate for the intended path, and ensure devices have matching port settings and firmware that supports SFP28 AOC links.
