BlueOptics Q28-AOC-3M-EE-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 3m QSFP28 konektor samec

The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-3M-EE-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 3m QSFP28 Male is a 3-metre active optical cable engineered for high-speed, low-latency connections in data centre and enterprise networking environments. With QSFP28 male terminations, this cable supports the high bandwidth and signal integrity required for InfiniBand fabrics and 100GbE-class links, enabling stable interconnects between switches, servers and storage arrays over a short-reach optical link.

Advantages

This 3m InfiniBand fibre optic cable provides low latency and high throughput while reducing electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives. The pre-terminated QSFP28 connectors ensure straightforward installation and consistent optical performance. Being an active optical cable, it offers improved signal quality across the 3-metre span, enabling reliable data transmission in dense rack environments and minimizing signal loss typical of passive copper cables.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches and aggregation equipment in data centres
• Direct server-to-switch or server-to-storage connections requiring high bandwidth
• High-performance computing clusters using InfiniBand fabrics
• Short-reach optical links within rack and row deployments

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Connector type: QSFP28 male to QSFP28 male
• Length: 3 metres
• Supported protocol: InfiniBand and compatible high-speed Ethernet links
• Use case: Short-reach high-bandwidth data centre interconnects

How to use

Ensure both devices support QSFP28 interfaces and compatible link protocols before connecting. Remove any dust caps and align the QSFP28 male connectors with the module slots, then insert firmly until the connector latch engages. Verify link status indicators on the connected devices and allow the transceivers to establish the optical link. For removal, depress the latch mechanism and pull the connector straight out to avoid damaging the port.

Recommendations

Install the cable within recommended bend-radius limits and avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling to maintain optical performance. Use in properly ventilated rack spaces to prevent heat buildup, and handle connectors by the housing rather than the fiber interface. Periodically inspect connector end-faces for contamination and clean following manufacturer guidelines when necessary.
