BlueOptics SFP-25G-AOC20M-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 20 m SFP28 aqua

The BlueOptics SFP-25G-AOC20M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 20 m active optical cable with SFP28 connectors and an aqua jacket. Designed for short-reach, high-speed links, this pre-terminated SFP28-to-SFP28 AOC implements 25GBASE-SR4 signaling over multi-mode fibre and provides a single, plug-and-play connection for switches, routers and storage systems that support SFP28 interfaces.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers full-duplex 25 Gbps connectivity across a 20 m multi-mode link while avoiding patchcord mating and connector cleaning. The integrated transceivers on each end transmit and receive optical signals, reducing insertion points and potential attenuation compared with separate transceivers plus patchcords. The aqua colour coding and SFP28 form factor simplify identification and ensure compatibility with equipment expecting 25GBASE-SR4 multi-mode connections.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25G interconnects between switches and routers in data centres
• Server-to-top-of-rack or leaf-to-spine links using SFP28 ports
• Storage systems and network appliances that support SFP28 AOCs

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated SFP28 transceivers
• Length: 20 metres
• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Supported data rate: 25 Gbps per lane (25GBASE-SR4 application)
• Fibre: Multi-mode optical transmission
• Colour: Aqua (industry coding for 25G multi-mode AOCs)
• Digital diagnostics: DDM/DOM support for real-time monitoring (where supported by host hardware)

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the host devices until the latch engages. Ensure both endpoints support 25G SFP28 AOC operation and, if required, enable or verify Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) in the host system to access real-time optical and electrical parameters. Use the pre-terminated cable as a direct link without additional patchcords; avoid sharp bends and secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Confirm compatibility with the intended hardware platform before installation. Handle connectors by their housing, keep dust caps on until insertion, route the cable to maintain bend radii recommended for multi-mode AOCs, and verify DDM/DOM readings during commissioning where available.
