SFP+ AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M 10 Gigabit aktívny optický kábel, 5 m

The BlueOptics SFP+ AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M 10 Gigabit Active Optical Cable is a pre-terminated, fixed-length 5 m SFP+ direct-attach solution for short-reach high-speed links. It enables a straightforward connection between SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage systems without separate transceivers or fiber patch cords. The solution targets data center interconnects and rack-to-rack cabling where low latency, reduced power consumption and predictable performance are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers 10 Gigabit per second throughput with low signal loss and minimal latency compared with longer copper runs. Its pre-terminated form factor reduces installation time and eliminates the need to manage individual fiber connectors or small-form-factor transceivers. The optical design reduces electrical interference and power draw, contributing to improved thermal behaviour in densely packed racks. The fixed 5 m length simplifies planning for short-distance links and prevents excessive slack.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centers
• Switch-to-server uplinks and cross-connects
• Storage area network links with SFP+ interfaces
• High-density top-of-rack switch deployments

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ on both ends supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC) with integrated optics
• Length: 5 meters fixed
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Form factor: Duplex, hot-pluggable SFP+ modules integrated into cable ends
• Typical use: Short-reach connections within racks or between adjacent racks

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your switch, server or storage device until it latches. Ensure devices are powered and configured to enable 10 Gigabit operation, and verify link status via device LEDs or management interfaces. No separate transceivers or fiber patch panels are required; handle the cable by the reinforced boot and avoid tight bends near the connector ends. Remove the cable by pressing the latch and pulling straight out to prevent damage to the module or port.

Recommendations

Use the AOC for short intra-rack or inter-rack links up to 5 m where SFP+ ports are available. Maintain bend radii as specified by the manufacturer, avoid routing near high-power electrical sources, and verify firmware or compatibility notes on your networking equipment for optimal performance.
