SFP+ AOC kábel CBO SFP-AOC-10G-1M pre Fortinet 10G 1m

The SFP+ AOC cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-1M for Fortinet 10G 1m is an active optical cable designed for short-reach 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections between devices with SFP+ ports. This 1 metre AOC combines optical transmission with SFP+ connector form factor to provide a compact, low-latency link appropriate for switch-to-switch, switch-to-server or router interconnects in racks and data center environments. The cable reduces electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives and eliminates the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords.

Advantages

The active optical cable delivers native 10 Gbps throughput with low latency and energy-efficient operation, while the integrated SFP+ connectors simplify installation and hot-plug replacement. Its optical design minimizes signal degradation over short distances and avoids grounding or EMI issues common to copper cables. The one-metre length is suited to common rack-to-rack and chassis-to-chassis connections and reduces cable clutter in dense deployments.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 10 Gigabit links between switches and routers
• Server-to-switch connections in racks and cabinets
• Data center top-of-rack or middle-of-row interconnects
• Environments requiring low electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Connector type: SFP+ form factor (active optical cable)
• Length: 1 metre
• Transmission medium: optical fibre (integrated AOC)
• Typical use case: short-reach interconnects within racks and between adjacent racks
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance networking

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the SFP+ port of the corresponding devices until the latch engages; the cable supports hot-plug operation so devices can be connected or disconnected without powering down where supported. Verify link status on both endpoints and confirm that the network interfaces are configured for 10 Gbps operation. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force on the cable; maintain the recommended bend radius specified by the manufacturer to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the AOC within the intended 1 m range and in environments that match data center or rack cabling conditions. Ensure compatibility with Fortinet or other SFP+-equipped equipment and keep firmware and port settings up to date to allow proper negotiation at 10 Gbps.
