BlueOptics SFP28 25G AOC aktívny optický kábel 25 m, SFP28–SFP28, aqua

BlueOptics SFP28 25G AOC active optical cable, 25 m long with SFP28 connectors on both ends, is designed for 25 Gigabit links between SFP28 ports. The cable provides an optical equivalent interconnect in a lightweight assembly (0.15 kg) with an aqua-coloured jacket for easy visual identification. As an active optical cable (AOC) it integrates optical transmitters and receivers in the cable ends to deliver low-latency, electrically-isolated connections for data centre environments, switch-to-switch links and high-speed interconnects.

Advantages

The BlueOptics SFP28 AOC offers a compact and flexible alternative to discrete fibre plus transceivers, reducing cable bulk while maintaining 25 Gbit/s link performance over a 25 m distance. The integrated optical transceivers eliminate the need for separate SFP28 modules, providing simple hot-pluggable connectivity. The aqua jacket improves cable management and rapid identification within racks and patch panels, and the active design supports low latency and electrical isolation between connected devices.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support 25G signalling and that link settings on switches or servers are configured for 25G operation if required. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; the aqua jacket aids identification when dressing bundles or tracing connections in racks.

Recommendations

Use this 25 m AOC in environments where short-reach 25G links are required and where electrical isolation or reduced cable bulk is important. Avoid sharp bends, excessive tension, and exposure to liquids or extreme temperatures. Verify compatibility with the target equipment's SFP28 ports and firmware where device vendor interoperability guidance is required.
