BlueOptics XXVAOCBL15M-BO InfiniBand optický kábel 15 m SFP28 aqua

The BlueOptics XXVAOCBL15M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 15 m active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 to SFP28 connectors in aqua colour coding. Designed for high-speed short-reach interconnects, this AOC supports 25G data transmission over multimode fibre and is intended for use in data centres and networking equipment that accept SFP28-form AOCs. The pre-terminated assembly provides a single, plug-and-play fibre link without the need for separate transceivers or patchcord terminations.

Advantages

The cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules within a pre-assembled fibre assembly to enable simultaneous transmit and receive functionality according to SFP28 MSA form-factor expectations. The aqua jacket aids visual identification and cable management in dense racks and patching environments. As an active optical cable, it is immune to electromagnetic interference and eliminates the need for field termination, reducing installation time and sources of attenuation typical for patchcord-to-transceiver connections.

How to use

Verify that both endpoints (switch, router, server or storage device) support SFP28 AOC modules before installation. Power off or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the equipment manufacturer, insert the SFP28 ends into the SFP28 cages until they latch, and secure cable routing to avoid sharp bends and physical strain on the connectors. Ensure the connected hardware recognizes the module and, if available, enable or verify Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) support in the host system to monitor operating parameters such as optical power and temperature.

Recommendations

Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force; maintain bend radius according to multimode fibre best practices and keep connectors free of dust. Confirm hardware compatibility with SFP28 AOCs and, if monitoring is required, verify that the host platform supports DDM/DOM to access diagnostic data.
