CBO AOC SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J1M 10G 1M aktívny optický kábel

The CBO AOC SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J1M 10G 1M active optical cable is a factory-terminated SFP+ active optical cable (AOC) that delivers 10 Gbps connectivity across a 1-meter reach. It is intended for short-range, high-speed interconnects between SFP+ ports in switches, servers and storage systems. The cable uses optical transmission to minimise electromagnetic interference and heat generation compared with copper alternatives, and supports plug-and-play installation for rapid deployment in data center and rack-to-rack environments.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides low latency and stable 10 Gbps throughput over a short 1 m span, combining the compact form factor of SFP+ with optical signalling to reduce crosstalk and EMI. The pre-terminated design simplifies installation and eliminates the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords, while the low power profile and passive cable management help maintain efficient rack cooling and cable routing.

Suitable for

• High-speed links between top-of-rack and leaf switches
• Direct server-to-switch or server-to-storage connections
• Short-reach interconnects in data centres and equipment racks
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ to SFP+
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 1 metre
• Operating principle: Optical transmission for short-range links
• Form factor: Compact, hot-pluggable SFP+ connectors
• Typical applications: Switch-to-switch, switch-to-server, server-to-storage

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port until it latches. Ensure compatible SFP+ ports are used on both ends and that devices are powered according to their manufacturer guidelines. No additional transceivers or fibre patch cables are required. After insertion, verify link status and network configuration on connected devices and monitor for proper negotiation of 10 Gbps link speed.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain minimum bend radius specified for optical cables. Use in equipment racks and short interconnect scenarios up to 1 metre. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules and update device firmware if required to ensure full feature support and link stability.
