Sériový server zariadení Exsys EX-6111-2 Ethernet na 1×RS-232 s 5V 4A externým napájacím zdrojom

Exsys EX-6111-2 is a compact Ethernet-to-serial device server providing a single RS-232 port to integrate legacy serial equipment into IP networks. The unit is supplied with a 5 V, 4 A external power adapter and supports basic network connectivity for remote access, monitoring and control of serial devices over LAN. The small footprint and straightforward functionality make it suitable for installations where one serial interface must be networked without replacing existing hardware.

Advantages

The device server converts Ethernet to RS-232 with straightforward configuration and compatibility with a wide range of serial devices, enabling remote data exchange and control. Its compact design and included 5 V/4 A external power supply simplify installation in constrained spaces and reduce the need for additional power sourcing. The product supports continuous operation in applications that require reliable serial-to-IP communication.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy RS-232 instruments to a local area network
• Point-of-sale (POS) peripherals such as receipt printers and barcode scanners
• Industrial automation controllers and sensor interfaces
• Building management systems and access control integration
• Remote monitoring and diagnostics of serial equipment

Key specifications

• Interface: 1 × RS-232 serial port for data transmission and control
• Network: 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection for LAN integration
• Power: External power adapter providing 5 V DC at 4 A
• Form factor: Compact enclosure suitable for desktop or rack-adjacent mounting
• Operating mode: Serial-to-IP conversion for remote access and data routing

How to use

Connect the serial device to the RS-232 port using an appropriate serial cable, then attach the Ethernet cable to a LAN switch or router. Connect the supplied 5 V/4 A power adapter to the device and apply power. Configure the network settings (IP address, subnet mask, gateway) either via DHCP or static assignment according to the local network plan, and set the serial parameters (baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits) to match the connected equipment. Use the device server's web interface or provided configuration utility to map COM ports or enable TCP/UDP sockets for the required communication method.

Recommendations

For stable operation, place the device in a dust-free environment with adequate ventilation and avoid exposure to excessive heat or moisture. Verify serial parameter matching between the host and the connected equipment before deploying in production. Use quality shielded serial and Ethernet cables to reduce interference, and secure network access with appropriate firewall and authentication measures when exposing serial devices over LAN.
