SFP28 AOC CBO BlueOptics BO272703Q20M 20 m aktívny optický kábel, 25Gbps, duplex

This SFP28 AOC from BlueOptics (model BO272703Q20M) is a 20-meter active optical cable engineered for 25 Gbps direct links between compatible SFP28 ports. The pre-terminated duplex cable integrates electronics and fiber in a single assembly to deliver reliable short- to medium-reach interconnects for switches, servers and storage systems while minimizing connector loss and installation complexity.

Advantages

The active optical cable supports 25 Gbps data rates and provides stable signal integrity over a 20 m reach without separate transceivers or patch cords. Its pre-terminated duplex format reduces connector mating and insertion loss, simplifies rack-to-rack and within-rack connections, and lowers the number of components required for deployment. The single-assembly design also eases cable management and reduces airflow obstruction compared with multiple copper or fiber assemblies.

Suitable for

• High-speed interconnects between SFP28-equipped switches
• Direct server-to-switch and server-to-storage links in data centers
• Within-rack or short-distance cross-rack connections up to 20 m
• Environments where reduced connector count and straightforward installation are desired

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gbps per duplex link
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC), duplex
• Length: 20 meters
• Connector format: SFP28 plug on both ends (pre-terminated)
• Reach category: Short- to medium-reach data center interconnect
• Typical use: Direct link between compatible SFP28 ports (switches, servers, storage)

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port until the connector latches. Ensure both ends are fully seated and that the connected devices are powered and configured to use 25 Gbps ports. Avoid tight bends in the cable and secure the cable along rack pathways to prevent strain on the connectors. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required; the assembly is ready for immediate operation when connected to compatible equipment.

Recommendations

Use the cable within the specified 20 m length and avoid bending below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Confirm compatibility with the host devices’ SFP28 ports and firmwares prior to large deployments. Where possible, route the AOC to minimize physical stress and maintain adequate airflow in rack installations.
