CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q20M 20 m aktívny optický kábel pre 25Gb/s pripojenia

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q20M is a 20 m active optical cable designed for 25Gb/s connections in data centers and enterprise networking environments. Built in SFP28 form factor, this integrated cable contains transceivers and optical fiber in a single assembly to deliver low-latency, high-bandwidth links between switches, servers and storage systems. The cable supports electrical-to-optical conversion and hot-pluggable operation for straightforward installation and predictable performance in short- to mid-range rack and row topologies.

Advantages

This 20 m active optical cable offers the convenience of a single, factory-terminated link that eliminates separate transceiver modules and patch cords, reducing installation complexity and potential points of failure. The SFP28 form factor ensures compatibility with 25Gb/s ports that accept SFP28 connectors, while the integrated optical path provides stable signal integrity and low latency over 20 meters. Its plug-and-play design simplifies deployment in dense rack environments and minimizes cable management overhead.

Suitable for

• Connecting 25Gb/s switch-to-switch links within the same rack or across adjacent racks
• Server-to-switch high-speed uplinks in data centre topologies
• Storage network connections requiring low-latency, high-throughput links
• Short- to mid-range fabric interconnects in enterprise network deployments

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable
• Data rate: up to 25 Gb/s per channel
• Length: 20 meters
• Integrated electrical-to-optical conversion for low latency
• Hot-pluggable connection for easy installation
• Designed for short- to mid-range links in rack environments

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding 25Gb/s port on your networking devices until the module latches. Ensure both ends are fully seated and visible link/activity indicators confirm the connection. No separate transceivers or patch fibers are required; the cable is factory-terminated and ready for immediate use. When removing, depress the latch and gently withdraw the connector to avoid stressing the cable assembly.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify that the target ports support SFP28 AOC modules and 25Gb/s operation. Route the cable with proper bend radii, avoid tight kinks and secure the cable to reduce movement in dense racks. Use the 20 m length for intra-rack or short-distance inter-rack connections; for longer spans, consider active transceivers with separate fiber or higher-distance AOCs. Handle the connectors carefully to keep mating faces clean and free of debris.
